See You In Djibouti is a promotional tour through Africa in a truck that runs entirely on bio fuel. The idea for the 2 month tour was initiated by Mark van den Bosch and Arjan Doeswijk. The purpose of this endeavour is promoting the YES-Africa foundation and the use of jatropha. 

Jatropha is a shrub from which the harvested nuts can be processed into vegetable oil. Furthermore, replanting with jatropha improves the quality of the soil considerably and stops erosion. Jatropha is good for the environment but also a trigger for economic improvement in local communities!

At this time the tour is well underway. There have been several demonstrations and working visits to farming communities and processing plants. Blogs, photos and video-reports are posted regularly on this website. Filmmaker Sjoerd Banga is also on the tour, providing video updates and compiling footage.

After the journey, Mark will stay in Africa for another three years, with the truck, to continue the work with the goal of planting one million jatropha trees! Mark and Arjan planted 100.000 trees in Tanzania on their previous trips.
